About APCM

Based in Indianapolis, APCM oversees a network of Indiana pain clinics and ambulatory surgical centers, and in 2019, began acquiring practices in Ohio. APCM’s expansion strategy involves identifying top-performing pain management practices that could expand its suite of services and increase patient volume.

APCM member organizations offer a variety of interventional pain management treatments that may include implantable devices, injections, outpatient surgical procedures, physical therapy, and psychological services.

Physician Involvement

APCM is majority physician-owned. Dr. Edward J. Kowlowitz, founder and medical director of CPM, is the CEO and president of APCM and an APCM board member. Dr. Kowlowitz is a board-certified pain management physician, leading expert in chronic and acute pain management, and international leader in pain-related neuromodulation.

APCM member physicians are fellowship-trained and are at the forefront of their field, adopting new methodologies as they become available and sharing knowledge with peers in their profession. Areas of specialization within APCM-managed practices include spinal cord stimulator implants, radiofrequency ablation, treatment of cancer-related pain, and neuromodulation.

Long-Term Vision

Responsible pain management is an increasingly important need in the United States. APCM aims to meet that need by continuing to acquire pain clinics and ambulatory surgical centers that set the standard for responsible and compassionate patient care.
