About Dr. Rachel Ploskonka, PhD,HSPP
Dr. Rachel Ploskonka is a licensed psychologist specializing in counseling psychology with a strong background in community mental health, university counseling, and clinical training. She has provided therapy,psychological assessment, and crisis intervention services for children, adolescents, and adults. She has significant clinical experience working with individuals with mood disorders, trauma, substance use, and dual diagnoses. Her work focuses on helping individuals build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and improve overall emotional well-being.
Before joining Center for Pain Management, Dr. Ploskonka served as a Clinical Supervisor and Staff Psychologist at Valley Oaks Health, providing direct clinical care and supervising therapists and pre-doctoral interns. She has also taught multiple graduate-level courses at Purdue University, directed major training programs, and contributed to published research and national conference presentations.
