About Kristy Hanthorn, NP

Kristy Hanthorn is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Kristy earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization from Purdue Northwest University in 2025, along with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021 and Associate Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in 2019. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds active licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse in Indiana, as well as certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Kristy brings a strong clinical background with experience in critical care, hospice, and long-term care settings. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Coronary Care Unit at Franciscan Health, where she managed complex patient cases and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. In her nurse practitioner roles, she has performed comprehensive assessments, coordinated care across disciplines, and supported patients and families through individualized treatment plans. Known for her attention to detail and strong communication skills, Kristy is passionate about advocating for her patients and ensuring they feel informed, supported, and involved in their care.
