About Dr. Romo
Dr. Jorge Ismael Romo is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician dedicated to helping patients overcome chronic pain through personalized, evidence-based care. He specializes in interventional pain management, utilizing advanced minimally invasive procedures to reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life. Dr. Romo believes in partnering with each patient to develop individualized treatment plans that address the underlying cause of pain while helping them return to the activities they enjoy most.
Dr. Romo completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at Northwestern University, where he trained under nationally recognized pain specialists. He then completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Loyola University Medical Center and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Before joining Center for Pain Management, Dr. Romo practiced as an interventional pain management physician at Advocate Christ Medical Center. He is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and has contributed to numerous national research presentations focused on advancing the field of pain management.
