About Abena Larbi, AGNP-BC

Abena joined Integrated Pain Solutions in 2024. With extensive experience in emergency medicine, anesthesiology, and cardiology, Abena is committed to improving patient outcomes and enhancing their quality of life through effective pain management.

Abena holds a national certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC). She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, where she also obtained a Nurse Educator Certificate. Abena is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Association (ANA).

Before joining IPS, Abena worked as a Charge Registered Nurse in the ENT ICU at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Her clinical experience includes roles in ICU/CCU, CVICU, LTAC, and transitional care, where she provided comprehensive care to critically ill patients and precepted new staff. Abena also has a strong background in community service and leadership, holding positions such as Assistant Youth Secretary and President of Arise to Connect Africa.

Abena's certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and she is board-certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. With a passion for patient education and collaborative care, Abena aims to make a significant impact in the field of pain management and help her patients lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
